Landlord Vision review: is it the right software for portfolio landlords?

Quick answer

We score Landlord Vision 4.4 out of 5. It combines MTD for Income Tax, property accounts, tenancy tracking and compliance reminders, from £7.99 a month ex VAT for 4 tenancies on annual billing. It's best for portfolio landlords who want accounts and compliance in one place. Launch discounts were due to end 30 October 2026.

Landlord Vision is UK software built only for landlords. It does more than tax. As well as keeping your accounts and sending Making Tax Digital (MTD) updates, it tracks tenancies and reminds you about compliance tasks such as gas safety checks, EPCs and insurance. In this review we look at the price, how it handles MTD, and who it suits. We checked every price on Landlord Vision's website in October 2026.

Launch discounts end soon. Landlord Vision's launch discounts were due to end on 30 October 2026. After that, prices may rise. Check the live price on its website before you sign up.

Pricing is by number of tenancies, not properties. The Starter plan suits a small portfolio of up to 4 tenancies. Beyond that, the jump to Standard is quite steep. There is no free plan, but there is a two-week free trial.

Is Landlord Vision good for MTD for Income Tax?

Yes. Landlord Vision supports MTD for Income Tax for landlords. It keeps digital records of your rent and costs and sends quarterly updates to HMRC. These are due by 7 August, 7 November, 7 February and 7 May (GOV.UK).

For landlords, qualifying income means your total rent before expenses, plus any self-employed turnover. If you own a property jointly, only your share counts (GOV.UK).

Here's an illustration. Sarah owns four buy-to-let flats on her own. Her total rent in 2025 to 2026 was £48,000, which is over the £30,000 threshold, so she must use MTD from 6 April 2027. She also wants one place to track tenancy end dates and safety certificates. Landlord Vision's Starter plan covers her four tenancies for £7.99 a month on annual billing, and brings her accounts and compliance together.

HMRC won't give penalty points for late quarterly updates in the 2026 to 2027 tax year, so there's time to get set up. Our MTD guide for landlords explains the rules in full.

Is Landlord Vision good for landlords?

Yes. It was built for them. Its main strength is putting accounts, tenancies and compliance in one place. That matters more than ever. The Renters' Rights Act 2025 has changed the rules in England, and a new Private Rented Sector Database is rolling out from late 2026 (GOV.UK). Software that keeps your records and deadlines organised can make that easier to manage. See our Renters' Rights Act landlord checklist.

It's less of a fit for landlords with just one property, who may not need the extra tools. Cheaper or free options may be enough for them.

Landlord Vision key features

  • Bank feeds: yes. Bank feeds mean your bank transactions flow in automatically, so you don't type them in.
  • Property accounts: track income and costs for each property.
  • Tenancy tracking: keep tenancy details and key dates in one place.
  • Compliance reminders: reminders for tasks such as gas safety checks, EPCs and insurance renewals.
  • Receipts: you can attach receipts to property expenses.
  • VAT returns: not stated in the details we checked. If you need VAT returns, ask Landlord Vision before you sign up.
  • CIS: not applicable. This is landlord software, not software for builders.
  • Mobile app: new, with too few ratings to judge in October 2026.

Is Landlord Vision easy to use?

On paper, it's well organised for landlords, because everything is grouped around your properties and tenancies. We can't yet judge the new mobile app, because it had too few ratings when we checked. If doing everything on your phone matters to you, use the two-week trial to try the app before you commit.
